Our mission is to provide the highest quality vision care to our patients. Each patient should leave the office with a complete understanding of his/her vision conditions and eye health status.
Our Doctors:
Dr. Albert DeMers has served patients in the
Sparks area since he started practicing Optometry in 1957. He is the
founder of DeMers Family Vision Group. He has also been extremely
active in the Sparks community as a member of the Rotary Club. In his
spare time, Dr. DeMers enjoys playing Scrabble and traveling with his
wife.
Dr. Scott DeMers is the
grandson of Dr. Albert DeMers. He was born in Reno, and raised in
Arizona where he received his bachelors degree in Physiology from the University of Arizona. He graduated
from the Southern California College of Optometry where he graduated
with honors and was a member of the optometry honor society. His
optometric interests include glaucoma and other ocular diseases as well
as contact lenses. Outside of the office he enjoys playing golf as
much as possible and snowboarding in the winter time.
Dr. Leslie DeMers is the wife of Dr. Scott DeMers. She enjoys seeing pediatric patients, fitting contact lenses, and assisting low vision patients. She graduated with Dr. Scott
DeMers from the Southern California College of Optometry with honors
and was also a member of the Optometric Honor Society. Her hobbies
include running and hiking.
Dr. Janet Carter
graduated from the University of California Berkely College of
Optometry. Go Bears! Dr. Carter was named one of Optometry's 50 most
influencial women in 2005. She holds positions on both the Association
of Regulatory Boards of Optometry and also on the National Board of
Examiners in Optometry. She enjoys being on the forefront of contact
lens technology. Also, Dr. Carter is fluent in Spanish and
enjoys performing eye exams in this language. She is the daughter
of Dr. Darrell Carter who served patients at this same office prior to
his retirement.
